Diva Demeanor started as a 501 c3 non profit organization where the mission was to merge the worlds of hip hop and social justice issues and give women a place in this culture that was more than just being a pretty face or a sexual object.

The mission is still the same today but instead of adhering to governmental regulations, performing surface level outreach efforts or maintaining a clean-cut, non-confrontational image… Diva Demeanor is now free to shake sh*t up in her own way.

Diva Demeanor is now a media hub for hip hop culture from our perspective, an exclusive community for raw topics, support and holistic mental wellness and community events that target the root causes of trauma and promotes community healing.

Jasmine Woodson is the founder, creator and visionary of Diva Demeanor. From an educational standpoint, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Human Services from Sam Houston State University. She also has earned a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling/Life Coaching from Liberty University and is a current doctoral student at Liberty University studying Traumatology and Holistic Mental Wellness.

She is a lover of all things raw, rugged and revolutionary and her heart beats for this hip hop culture and healing communities through it. Her unorthodox approach to therapy, social services and healing practices reach the root of problems in society and helps her to relate to people in very deep and meaningful ways. She always longed to create a safe space for women to explore who they are with no judgement and to find their place in their bodies and in this world.
